Asset-Backed Finance: Understanding the Market and the Search for Alpha
Monroe will provide an educational overview of the asset-backed finance market and clarify the distinctions between ABS, ABL, and ABF.
Drawing on more than 15 years of experience in asset-backed lending, Monroe will discuss how complexity in collateral, structure, and sourcing can create attractive opportunities for investors. The webcast will explore:
- Hard-asset strategies across real estate, digital infrastructure, aircraft, and equipment, as well as specialty finance opportunities including royalties, litigation finance, fund finance, and consumer credit.
- How lower middle market asset-backed strategies can complement traditional corporate direct lending.
- How a selective, directly originated approach—often as a sole or lead lender—can seek to enhance downside protection, recovery outcomes, and structural control.
